However, it also goes further to examine the complex and dynamic ways in which social groups make meaning together and the consequences of this “construction”of meaning in the face of conflict. LeBaron also addresses this deeper phenomenon in her work on bridging cultural conflicts. We need to more fully engage with the implications of social constructionist theories on our understanding of negotiation.
